We belong to Weedon Benefice Three Parishes within the Rural Deanery of Daventry;

Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

Peterborough Diocese takes safeguarding children and vulnerable adults very seriously. Every parish or benefice has a named Safeguarding Officer whose responsibilities include ensuring that everyone who has significant contact with children is properly checked and monitored.

The Diocese works closely with the police and social services when specific concerns about children or vulnerable adults arise.

St Peter and St Paul Church in Weedon Bec have benefitted from a grant for £32,700.00 to address urgent roof and rainwater good repairs.  

Weedon Parochial Church Council successfully applied for the grant through the Government-funded Listed Places of Worship: Roof Repair Fund.  Fundraising from events also supported the repair works which were over £50,000 in total.  

The roof work started in March 2017 are now complete. An excellent job has been completed by Steve Todd the stone mason and John Barker the surveyor.
